Tired today due to being up late last night picking up my daughter Catherine.
After breakfast I took Catherine over to the Caponi Art Park and we walked around a bit. It’s beautiful this time of year though a little warm. Then some grocery shopping. Catherine agreed to make a cake for the 4th tomorrow and I wanted ingredients for curry for Friday.
After we got back we decided to go to lunch rather than dinner and went to Hazelwood which is related to Chester’s in Rochester, MN. Hazelwood has the same chicken and the same chocolate cake.
It was very good. They have a larger menu then Chester’s. Chris and I had the chicken. Catherine had a short rib dish which was also delicious. For dessert we shared the cake and the banana cream pie. Both were the expected size and it was very good.
After we played some games, watched some cooking shows and Catherine made the base of the cake. She is going to frost and decorate tomorrow.
