I left early with my daughter Elizabeth to drive to Berkeley to pick up daughter Catherine. It is still pretty smoky everywhere with Berkeley not seeming much better than the Sacramento valley.
We all had a good time talking and catching up. My daughters have become wonderful and delightful young women. I’m so impressed by what both are doing with their lives and in school.
On the way back we stopped at Estelle Bakery, a bakery I had not yet eaten yet though I had heard rave reports from my daughters and mom. I really enjoyed it. I had quiche and my daughters shared a sandwich and we tried several of the dessert items. Their baguettes are also very good. My favorite were probably their raspberry dome and island paradise. We didn’t take photos but there are representative pictures on their website.
It was a good day and I went to bed pretty early due to being tired and having to get up early again tomorrow for a business call at 6am.
