Started out at the networking group and learned about some of the marketing constraints financial advisors work under. As they are not allowed to publicly make specific investment recommendations to the public a lot of their marketing at the larger firms is written for them and generic. If they have a blog it is written for them and boring. If they have a website it is written for them and boring. These are interesting constraints. I’m not sure if I can be of help but I talked to a guy about it for a bit.
In the afternoon, I had a scheduled meeting with a potential client and my marketing partner. The presentation to the potential client went well. He needs to discuss cost with his partner but he asked if they paid for the year up front if there would be a discount. We do. I really hope he choses that route.
