5 weeks since my surgery. I slept really well. I think the big problem I’m having with discomfort with my sterum is I’m not doing any stretching exercises. There are some simple ones I’m supposed to do but I never consider stretching to be worthwhile. Except I know that it is and would help. And I’m stubborn. A lot of my discomfort getting into bed is being in the same position I was already in all day. I do walk daily but I don’t do other movements like rolling my shoulders, turning my neck far, stretching my legs. And I’ve now been doing these throughout the day and it feels good. Sometimes (often?) I’m a difficult patient. Overall it was a pretty good day.
I drove again and I have a meeting with an existing client tomorrow to go over some future work. I’m more up beat emotionally. By the end of the day, my sternum didn’t feel as uncomfortable as previous days. And I made some work progress. It is nice to get a more normal amount of sleep.
