The twins and I visited my father and Joan today for gift exchanging and food.
We had a good time visiting and catching up. Joan made an amazing quiche that changed how I’m looking at making quiches. I wasn’t using enough cream and I’m all for using more cream.
I think everyone enjoyed their gifts. I received two very interesting books (one a late gift from Elizabeth). A book about the professional catering business. Sort of an in the trenches memoir about the exciting and chaotic world of putting on professional food events.
The other book a cook book of historic African American food. Both recipes and history. I’ll have some fun things to read now.
