I spent much of the day on work projects. I was falling behind on managing my new business connections from LinkedIn and my girlfriend Chis had a good idea yesterday.
I was working too hard at getting teach connection into my online contact database. Her suggestion was just write everyone’s name on a piece of paper until they get interesting from followup conversations.
My enhancement was to put them all in a spreadsheet. But this is easier than my contact database. I keep track of name, when I connected, and the status of any conversations. If they get interesting enough I’ll write down the details. And now I’m caught up on my backlog that was getting worse.
