I was pressed for time to come up with an email for my marketing list today. As an experiment I wrote about switching email marketing providers. Going from MailChimp, which I still use for this blog, to MailerLite which isn’t as well known.
I felt the email was sort of dry and not that generally interesting. It was fine and it was informative.
And so within an hour of it sending out I had gotten 4 email responses asking questions and praising it. This is much more feedback than I normally get from my emails. Apparently some people are interested in the nuts and bolts of sending email.
I know two of them were intrigued because I mentioned the free usage plan of MailerLite is better than Mailchimp. Still, it’s useful market research.
When I have time there’s probably value in making a longer blog post about this.
