Chris and I are going to visit her family tomorrow at one of her brother’s houses and we are bringing food so there was cooking today.
For the first time for both of us we are making stuffed mushrooms which are easy and look like a really good idea. Plus deviled eggs and chili. And for the Sons of Norway meeting tonight Chris is making her egg salad which is what she traditionally brings.
The Sons of Norway meeting in the evening was fun. I like the people there and caught up with several of them. The presentation was very interesting about the “orphan trains” that were transporting orphaned and abandoned children from New York City (and other cities?) out to families that would adopt them in the middle of the US from the late 1800s through 1929. A very interesting bit of history.
