I had my first coaching meeting with a new client. Our goal is to promote an online course she is building. She came very prepared and clearly wants to work hard at this so it’s an exciting place to start.
Much of the rest of the day was spent working and brainstorming for another client project, this one promoting an online workshop. Both of the projects are quite similar from a promotional perspective. This makes the work simpler and simple is good.
I’ve started a new marketing/sales book which is discussing a modern approach to sales that is very intriguing. Rather than tricking the buyer into realizing they need your product, you work with them to understand if there is no way they can solve their problems on their own and then what would have to change in their world if they were to use your solution. It’s a more support / service oriented approach that doesn’t rely on manipulation. More on this when I understand more. It fits my non sales style better.
However I was very tired by the end of the day…
